Wesley McKinley Hall Jr, affectionally known as "Pike" was born on August 18, 1951. Full of faith and the love God, Wesley embraced eternal life and his new heavenly body on Thursday May 14, 2020. He was born in Java, Virgina to the late Wesley & Sylvia Hall. He was the oldest of two children, and the Hall family resided in Danville, Virginia. He was affectionately called "Pike" by his parents, family, and friends. In his college years, Wesley moved to Dover, Delaware, and later moved to New York as a adult, but eventually settled in New Jersey, where he remained until his death.
Wesley became a world renowned musician starting off in the late 1970s and early 1980s, where he was a member of the successful group B.T. Express. In B.T. Express, he was the former lead guitar player. His fine ear for music caused him to meet and be celebrated worldwide, as the music he created has lived on through decades. Wesley was also a Sony BMG- musical writer and composer. He also formed and recorded with his group "Pike". Later in life, he took his talents to radio as he was a successful radio announcer and station manager for many years at a radio station in New Jersey. To those who knew Wesley, at the drop of a hat he could power up his guitars, and stroke the keys to his beloved keyboards and outplay anybody.
After marrying the love of his life, Deborah R. Hall, Wesley enjoyed his years traveling with her, and they enjoyed having family and friends visit them at their home. Wesley was also known to love his sport cars, especially his corvettes, where he could be seen driving down the road in them, letting the cool breeze hit him.
Wesley accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age, and grew his relationship with Him, as he believed He was the Blesser in his life, and leaned on him constantly as his friend.
Wesley leaves to mourn in his passing, his loving wife Deborah R. Hall, his sister, his niece, his brother-in-law, four loving aunts, one loving uncle, and a host of wonderful cousins, relatives, and friends.
As always, Pike would want you to remain in "Good Feelings", as his song says below! Cherish the memories you had with him, and his music and memories will live on forever!
